About The Position
The Patient Care Aide assists a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse with patient care tasks that do not require licensure. Care is implemented under the supervision of an RN or LPN. This position is associated with Helen Keller Oncology and is PRN on Shift 2.
Requirements
- Demonstrate the ability and knowledge to perform proper skills and techniques, and attempt them when the situation arises.
- Have CPR certification or the ability to become certified within 90 days.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Certification by state exam or former employer, National Certification, prior healthcare facility experience, or successful completion of the fundamental nursing semester or quarter of nursing school.
