About The Position

The Patient Ambassador manages and supports the patient satisfaction program (HCAHPS) and serves as a liaison between the housekeeping (EVS) department, nursing, and other departments to support excellent patient care. The role is based at Bon Secours West Hospital and pays $19.00 per hour. Full-time positions are available, with day, evening, and night shifts available. Applicants must pass a background check and drug screen and provide proof of U.S. employment eligibility.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Communicate effectively and work well in a team environment.
Friendly, outgoing, and engaging personality.
Excellent professional written and verbal communication skills.
Organized with an eye for detail.
Practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and wear a uniform.
GED or high school diploma.
Pass a background check and drug screen and provide proof of U.S. employment eligibility.

Nice To Haves

Housekeeping experience, including cleaning, environmental services, custodial or janitorial work, room attendant, floor care technician, hotel operations, patient care, patient experience, or healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

Monitor patient satisfaction scores and assess action plans for improvement.
Provide department leadership with weekly reports and detailed reviews.
Create reports, monitor trends, and implement action plans.
Round on patients to assess satisfaction and set service expectations.
Perform service recovery as needed to resolve issues.
Assist department leadership in training team members and reinforcing communication skills (AIDET).
Collaborate with the guest services department to align action items to improve patient satisfaction.
Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently.
