About The Position

The Patient Experience Ambassador greets patients upon admission and throughout their stay, and contacts approximately 30 patients and family members each day. The role identifies opportunities to improve the patient experience through interviews, discussion, and observation. The Ambassador educates patients about Hospital services, including Nursing, Food & Nutrition, and Environmental Services, and serves as a liaison between patients and departments. The role follows up on patient concerns to ensure they are resolved and that patients perceive the resolution.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Two years of experience in service-oriented operations.
• Ability to work flexible hours and weekends.
• Ability to kneel, sit, stand, and walk for continuous periods.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients upon admission and during their stay.
• Contact approximately 30 patients and family members daily.
• Identify patient experience improvement opportunities through interviews, discussion, and observation.
• Educate patients about Hospital services, including Nursing, Food & Nutrition, and Environmental Services.
• Act as a liaison between patients and departments.
• Follow up on patient concerns to ensure resolution occurs and is perceived by the patient.
