About The Position

Join EANM as a fulltime, Patient Accounting Specialist, responsible for supporting our revenue cycle and patient billing operations while also assisting with contact lens and other order processing. If you have a passion for solving billing challenges, delivering great service, and contributing to quality patient care behind the scenes, this role is for you! EANM is the largest Ophthalmology & Optometry practice in the Southwest.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of medical billing experience
Knowledge of CPT and ICD9 codes
Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to manage details, deadlines, and multitask in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

Prior experience with NextGen is a plus

Responsibilities

Respond to and resolve patient billing inquiries via phone, portal, or mail with professionalism and accuracy
Process adjustments, corrections, refunds, and manage outstanding patient balances
Handle accounts receivable, including payment posting, denials, and insurance follow-up
Communicate with insurance carriers to ensure timely and accurate claim reimbursement
Ensure compliance with billing regulations, coding standards, and internal documentation procedures
Manage contact lens orders, including prescription verification, vendor coordination, billing, and inventory tracking
