Patient Accounting Representative, Patient Finance Services, Full Time, First Shift
About The Position
The Patient Accounting Representative works in Patient Finance Services and supports billing and collection activities. The role bills claims electronically, checks unpaid claim status, posts cash, pursues self-pay collections, scans documents, requests medical records, and provides customer service. The representative assists the manager with daily collection activities and collects past-due patient accounts through phone calls, letters, and other correspondence. This includes collecting balances, arranging payments and settlements, and reviewing discount qualifications. The position also includes revenue cycle performance, productivity, and quality reviews, along with other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in Revenue Cycle and/or Epic Revenue Cycle applications.
