The Patient Account Representative will be responsible for managing outstanding claims with third-party payors, reviewing and correcting claim issues, and ensuring accurate payment processing. This role involves utilizing claims clearinghouse systems, reviewing explanations of benefits, completing adjustment forms, and managing daily productivity within the patient accounting system. The representative will also prorate patient accounts, monitor financial classes, report weekly overviews to the Board of Directors, and participate in AR meetings. Additionally, the role requires gathering and interpreting data to initiate payment strategies and assisting financial counselors with benefit eligibility matters.
