Patient Access Schedule Agent, Partially Remote, 9:30am-6:00pm

UMass Memorial Health•Worcester, MA
•$21 - $29

About The Position

The Patient Access Schedule Agent handles incoming calls from patients, families, and referring providers to schedule appointments across multiple providers, clinics, departments, practices, and campuses. The agent also makes outbound calls to schedule appointments with specialists and subspecialists. During appointment scheduling, the agent gathers information needed for the financial aspects of care, including patient demographics, insurance information, and account guarantor details. The agent updates and corrects demographic and insurance information and collects patient liabilities before or on the date of service, as appropriate. Depending on the visit type, the agent obtains medical records from outside healthcare organizations so providers have the information needed to deliver care. The role also schedules in-office procedures and, when needed, the rooms where they will take place. This is a 40-hour-per-week, non-exempt position with a Monday-through-Friday schedule from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The position is partially remote. The hiring range is $20.94 to $29.27, with the final offer based on scheduled hours, experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity considerations. A signing bonus may be available; eligibility will be confirmed during the interview process.
