About The Position

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented, friendly, and dependable Patient Access Representative to join our front office team.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Proficiency in EMR systems (eClinicalWorks, Epic, or similar preferred)
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors in a warm, professional manner
- Educate the patient regarding procedure prep, insurance requirements and billing
- Obtain copies of insurance cards and verify insurance eligibility
- Collect and post payments, co-pays, and deductibles
- Assist patients with new patient paperwork and answer general inquiries
- Maintain accurate patient records and update demographic information
- Coordinate referrals and communicate with external providers
- Support other administrative duties as assigned
- Ensure reception area is ready for each working day and open the facility for business each day.
- Secure the building at the close of each business day.
