About The Position

Ensures that patients are correctly and efficiently registered for hospital services. Gathers and processes registration, billing, and related information from patients in Admissions, Outpatient, Radiology, and/or the Emergency Department. Verifies patient insurance coverage and benefits, reviews registration processes and flow with patients and families, and promotes a positive patient encounter as the hospital’s first impression.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• At least 1 year of experience in Patient Access.
• General experience with and knowledge of insurance requirements, insurance verification, and third-party billing.
