About The Position

The Patient Access Associate registers patients by collecting identifying and demographic information for their permanent medical records. The role ensures patients are registered or admitted accurately and promptly, obtains signed statements from patients or their representatives to protect the hospital’s interests, and collects patients’ financial obligations. The position is full-time on the night shift.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to comprehend and follow instructions.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards.
• Ability to perform rapid mental and muscular coordination simultaneously.
• Ability to perform in emergency situations.
• Ability to sit for long periods, sometimes in a confined space.
• Ability to lift or carry up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to push up to 250 lbs.
• Repetitive finger movement and repetitive twisting and pressure involving hand and finger mobility.
• Ability to reach at all levels, stoop, bend, kneel, or crouch.
• Possible exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
• Work around machinery with moving parts.

• Hospital or clinical experience preferred.
