About The Position
The Patient Access Associate works in the Emergency Department at East Jefferson General Hospital and serves as an initial point of contact for patients and families during urgent and stressful situations. The role provides calm, compassionate assistance while supporting accurate registration and efficient patient flow in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. The position is a full-time night shift role.
Requirements

Responsibilities
- Greet and assist patients and families with urgency and empathy.
- Register patients quickly and accurately during emergency visits.
- Verify insurance, demographics, and required documentation.
- Communicate clearly and compassionately in high-stress situations.
- Support admissions, transfers, and discharges as needed.
- Partner with clinical teams to maintain patient flow and efficiency.
