In addition to serving in one of these tracks, you will participate in activities that will help prepare you for your career as a Trooper, including the Future Trooper Training Program, driving and firearms training; assistance as a role player; Trooper ride-along; attending court, and other activities that allow exposure to the daily responsibilities of a Trooper. The VSP has partnered with Southside Virginia Community College to provide you with an associate degree in Administration of Justice to be awarded upon graduation from a future Trooper Basic Session.
