About The Position

Seeking a Pathologist for a Locum Tenens position in Billings, MT. This is an inpatient role in a Level I Trauma facility, requiring coverage for supplemental needs. The coverage period is from June 15, 2026, ongoing, with a need for clinical duties plus call. Specific shifts include June 1-15 for Anatomical Pathology. The clinic schedule is Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm, with call duties from 7 pm-7 am on nights and 7 am-7 am on weekends. Call is beeper-based with a 20-minute response time. The patient volume is approximately 30 cases per day, with 1-2 phone consults. Pathology Assistants will provide support. Duties include Surgical Pathology and Diagnostic cases. The EMR system used is Cerner.

Requirements

• Active MT License
• Board Certified (BC)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Responsibilities

• Perform Surgical Pathology.
• Handle Diagnostic cases.
• Provide clinical coverage.
• Participate in call duties (nights and weekends).
• Respond to beeper calls within 20 minutes.
• Manage approximately 30 patient cases daily.
• Handle 1-2 phone consults per day.
