About The Position
Seeking a Pathologist for a Locum Tenens position in Cape Girardeau, MO. This is an inpatient role covering supplemental needs from June 22 to July 12, 2026. The position involves both clinical duties and call responsibilities. The shift schedule is Monday-Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with every other weekend call. The call type is beeper with a 15-minute response time. The case volume is expected to be between 40-60 cases, and rounding is included. Support staff includes a PA and Histotech. The EMR system used is Epic. The PA will handle the grossing. Temporary privileges are available.
Requirements
- Active MO License
- Board Certified (BC)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Responsibilities
- Provide Anatomic & Clinical Pathology services.
- Perform inpatient duties.
- Participate in clinical shifts (Mon-Fri, 8a-5p).
- Provide call coverage every other weekend (beeper call with 15 min response time).
- Conduct rounding.
- Manage a case volume of 40-60 cases.
