About The Position
Orange Hill Restaurant, an upscale dining and special event establishment, is seeking a Pastry Cook. The restaurant is known for its breathtaking views, culinary excellence, and exceptional service, offering a unique dining experience in Orange County with sweeping views of Catalina Island, Downtown Los Angeles, Disneyland's fireworks, and the California coastline. The Pastry Cook will work alongside the kitchen team to prepare and plate desserts according to established recipes and standards, ensuring food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. This role requires collaboration with team members for efficient service and assistance with inventory and ordering.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a pastry cook is required
- Knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
- Positive attitude, team player, and able to work collaboratively with others
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- 1-2 years: Pastry experience
- Kitchen Prep - Expert
- Detail Oriented - Advanced
- Cooking - Advanced
