The Pastry Cook position involves preparing high-quality pastry items such as breakfast items, desserts, breads, and ice creams, strictly adhering to The Smith’s recipe specifications. Key responsibilities also include proactively informing Sous Chefs/CDD’s of any potential ingredient shortages, executing opening and closing duties as directed by the CDC or Sous Chef, and maintaining proficiency in equipment usage while adhering to all safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare quality pastry items such as breakfast items, desserts, breads, ice creams to The Smith’s recipes specifications.
  • Inform Sous Chefs/CDD’s of any foreseeable shortages before items run out.
  • Complete opening and closing duties as instructed by the CDC or Sous Chef.
  • Maintain knowledge of use of equipment and abide by all safety standards.
