About The Position
Fearrington Village is seeking a Pastry Cook to join their team. This role involves preparing pastries, cookies, and desserts for guests, following recipes, and assisting in the development of new ones. The ideal candidate will maintain high sanitary conditions, organize storage areas, and ensure all products are fresh and safe. This is a full-time position with immediate start, working Tuesday through Saturday.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a high volume quality kitchen
- Team player, self motivator
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Open availability, ESPECIALLY weekends and holidays
- Positive attitude – great work ethic
- Can lift up to 50 Lbs
Responsibilities
- Preparing pastries, cookies and desserts for guests
- Following recipes and assisting in the development of new recipes
- Following prep list and ensuring all products are fresh before serving
- Ensuring all coolers and storage areas are maintained, neat, organized, and rotated
- Maintaining highest sanitary conditions
- Ensuring all work areas are safe & reporting any unsafe conditions
- Other duties as assigned
