About The Position

The pastry cook works under the Executive Pastry Chef instructions in preparing the pastries/bread/desserts according to recipes, quality and presentation standards.

Requirements

  • Technical or Trade School Degree
  • Valid WA. Food Handlers Permit
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Pastry Cook, preferably in a hotel or high-end restaurant setting
  • Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, cake decoration, and dessert presentation
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to accommodate changes and remain professional at all times
  • Willingness to help others and work well in a team-oriented environment
  • Innovative, creative and dynamic, with positive attitude toward work
  • Results oriented and work well under pressure
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Ability to work independently and to partner with others to promote positive work environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
