The Ritz-Carlton, Rancho Mirage is partnering with the Rouxbe Cooking School to offer culinary associates engaging online training opportunities to help grow their careers. Through Rouxbe's self-paced online platform and culinary training curriculum, Marriott associates with all levels of culinary experience will have access to hundreds of well-designed and visually appealing lessons they can immediately apply to their jobs. The position involves preparing and cooking food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and food prep checklists. It also includes preparing ingredients, safely and appropriately using baking and measuring tools/equipment/appliances, following and ensuring compliance with food safety handling policies and procedures, checking and ensuring correct temperatures, washing and disinfecting kitchen areas, setting up and breaking down work stations, and monitoring food quality and portions. Associates are expected to follow all company policies and procedures, including safety and security, report incidents, complete training, maintain professional appearance, confidentiality, and protect company assets. They must communicate professionally, build positive relationships, and comply with quality standards.
