Requirements

High School diploma or GED required
Experience with parts/warrant preferred
Experience working in the transportation industry is highly preferred
Interpersonal and communication skills; works well with team members and is willing to assisting others
Time management skills; is organized and able to establish and follow through on priorities
Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to multi-task
Strong customer service skills
Computer skills using Microsoft Office, McLeod, Windows up to and including 10, Internet Explorer, plus other software programs

Responsibilities

Sourcing parts and recovering cost for parts and repairs made within a warranty or policy coverage period and to document value/expense of warranty coverages.
Same day ordering of replacement and upgrade service parts
Effectively communicate with maintenance team on status of parts and warranty
Maintain parts within the shop by ensuring a clean and organized work area, conducting cycle counts, completing inventory adjustments and transfers, stocking and replenishing parts.
Work with maintenance team to qualify warranty repairs and follow through on the claims process
Prepare claims according to the manufactures’ warranty guidelines
Intercede with the manufacturer on questioned warranty issues
Develop and maintain excellent relationships with our vendors
Be aware of repetitive problems and initiate action with appropriate parties with regard to issues that may be under warranty and finding supporting information to get an exception claim paid
