About The Position

The Ed Napleton Automotive Group is hiring a Parts Shipping and Receiving Clerk at Napleton Mercedes-Benz of Rochester. The role is responsible for shipping, receiving, and verifying parts while maintaining an accurate, organized inventory. The position is part of a growing automotive dealership group affiliated with more than 25 vehicle brands and over 50 dealerships across seven states, with more than 3,500 employees nationwide.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to interpret parts vendor catalogs.
Ability to use a parts department computer system.
Good communication skills.
Ability to operate an automobile.
Must be at least 18 years old to comply with the company driving policy.

Nice To Haves

Prior shipping and receiving experience is a plus.
One year of experience in a retail or wholesale parts department is preferred.

Responsibilities

Count, weigh, or measure incoming and outgoing shipments and verify information against invoices, orders, and other records.
Determine shipping methods using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
Keep bins, aisles, and storage areas clean and clearly labeled.
Maintain receiving and shipping records, delivery truck maintenance records, and returned-parts records.
Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with shippers to resolve damages and shortages.
Ensure outgoing shipments meet specifications.
Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
Operate heavy machinery such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
