About The Position

This role involves handling parts order requests from customers through various channels, including telephone, email, and in-person interactions. The Parts Sales Representative will utilize manufacturer and vendor catalogs to locate parts, advise customers on related items, and manage backorders. Key responsibilities include maintaining inventory control, communicating with the Parts Manager and Service Department, and providing solutions to meet customer needs. The position also involves assisting with other projects as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two (2) years of heavy truck/auto parts or shop experience
  • Customer service skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Handle parts order requests via telephone, e-mail, or in-person
  • Utilize manufacturer and vendor catalogs to locate parts for customers, internal and external
  • Advise customers on related parts
  • Follow up on backordered parts, and contact customer with status
  • Ensure that inventory control practices are followed
  • Communicate with Parts Manager on inventory issues
  • Communicate with Service Department regarding parts availability and pricing
  • Provide solutions for the needs of our customers
  • Assist with other projects as needed
