About The Position

Pape’ Machinery, Inc.’s Agriculture & Turf Division is seeking a motivated, customer-oriented Parts Sales Counterperson I in Ellensburg, Washington. The role serves as a parts resource for customers maintaining and repairing equipment, assisting them in person at the counter and by telephone. The counterperson identifies customer needs, recommends parts and services, and uses product literature, specialized software, and developing knowledge of parts and equipment to provide timely, accurate support. The position emphasizes customer service, building trusted client relationships, attention to detail, and finding effective solutions. Pape’ provides training, mentoring, continued learning, and support for employee growth. Compensation is $18–$27 per hour, depending on experience. The company describes itself as a family-owned, fourth-generation organization with more than 160 locations, over 4,000 members, and more than 85 years of experience. Candidates must successfully pass a pre-employment drug test.

Requirements

Verifiable parts counter experience or applicable mechanical/service experience.
Basic knowledge of parts inventory.
Self-motivation and assertive drive.
Ability to perform at a high level in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers by telephone and in person to sell company parts and other services.
Above-average organizational skills.
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test.
