About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining inventory in the inventory tracking system and dispensing parts and tools to maintenance personnel as needed. It involves performing usage analysis, keeping the parts room clean and orderly, identifying and monitoring parts flow by part numbers, and receiving all maintenance parts. The position requires ensuring and verifying documents against actual item quantities received before capturing into the system, reporting any variances to the Manager, and ensuring all movements of store items are correctly recorded daily. The role also includes applying the concepts of FIFO in stock, stocking inventory, printing documentation for inventory replenishment, and possessing knowledge of parts and tools used in the plant. The attendant must prioritize daily work with minimal supervision and perform other assigned duties. Essential functions include standing, sitting, bending, walking, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, kneeling, squatting, and reaching frequently overhead. The role requires the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 20-70 pounds individually or with assistance frequently throughout the shift. Maintenance inventory is critical, and the attendant must be willing to be certified in pallet jack and forklift operation.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of parts room or inventory experience preferred
  • Proficient in SAP or other parts tracking program preferred
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong communication skills
  • Willing and able to work flexible hours
  • Willing and able to read inventory sheets, parts orders, email correspondences
  • Willing and able to write required information for ordering parts and email correspondences
  • Willing and able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide to accurately inventory parts, reorder parts in correct quantities as related to the job
  • Forklift experience is a plus
  • Willing and able to work competently and efficiently with minimal supervision
  • Willing and able to stand for up to 12 hours
  • Must reside in the United States
  • Flexibility of wrists and hands
  • Walking, bending, standing and some lifting required
  • Lifting of up to 30 lbs. on a frequent basis and 50 lbs. occasionally
  • Willing and able to move heavy objects (100 lbs.) with mechanical device
  • Willing and able to perform essential functions of job with or without reasonable accommodations
