This role involves troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while ensuring a safe work environment and adherence to Tyson policies and procedures. The Maintenance Generalist will respond to mechanical or electrical breakdowns, handle emergencies, and perform preventive maintenance according to schedule. This position requires the ability to perform mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs, diagnose and repair equipment without supervision, and start up and shut down equipment before production startup and after shutdown without supervision. The work environment can vary in temperature and humidity, and may be dusty. Physical requirements include standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, stooping, and the ability to climb ladders, lifts, and scaffolds, with lifting up to 70lbs required.
