This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. The role involves responding to mechanical or electrical breakdowns, handling emergency situations, and performing preventive maintenance according to schedule. The job requires the ability to perform mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs, diagnose and repair equipment without supervision, and start up and shut down equipment before production startup and after shutdown without supervision. The position also involves preparing written documentation of actions taken, completing appropriate paperwork and reports, and complying with safety programs such as lockout/tagout and confined space. The work environment can vary in temperature and humidity, and may be dusty, warm, cold, and/or humid. Physical requirements include standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, stooping, and the ability to climb ladders, lifts, and scaffolds, with lifting up to 70lbs potentially required.
