Maintaining inventory in the inventory tracking system and dispensing parts and tools to maintenance personnel as needed. This role involves performing usage analysis, keeping the parts room clean and orderly, identifying and monitoring parts flow by part numbers, and receiving all maintenance parts. The attendant is responsible for verifying documents against actual items received before system entry, reporting any variances to the manager, and ensuring all movements of store items are correctly recorded daily. The position also requires applying the FIFO (First-In, First-Out) concept in stock management and stocking inventory in the parts room. Printing documentation for inventory replenishment is also a key duty. The role requires knowledge of parts and tools used in the plant and the ability to prioritize daily work with minimal supervision, along with performing other assigned duties. Essential physical functions include standing for up to 12 hours, flexibility of wrists and hands, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, kneeling, squatting, and reaching frequently overhead. The role also requires the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 20-70 pounds individually or with assistance frequently throughout the shift, and move heavy objects (100 lbs.) with a mechanical device. Maintenance Inventory is critical for this role. Willingness to be certified in pallet jack and forklift operation is necessary.
