About The Position

Kokosing is seeking a Parts Planner to provide support to the equipment manager and mechanics for the maintenance of company equipment. This role involves managing inventory, processing parts orders, negotiating with vendors, and maintaining parts and maintenance history in the operating system. The Parts Planner will also communicate with customers regarding delivery times and ensure the work area is kept clean and presentable.

Requirements

• High School/Equivalent or Associates Degree
• 5+ years of parts and/or equipment maintenance experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong sense of urgency
• Ability to meet strict deadlines
• Ability to communicate well with all levels of employees within the company
• Ability to work under pressure and multi-task.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Problem solver; can-do attitude
• Must be able to lift and carry objects weighing 50 pounds.
• Must be able to climb on and under equipment to locate part numbers.
• Must be able to look up parts applications by manuals, catalogs or web based systems.
• Utilize company software (Viewpoint)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, on computers and other electronic devices
• Must be able to work in a high pace and safe environment

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory
• Pull requested parts from inventory, charge out and re-order when necessary
• Expedite shipping and receiving on parts orders
• Negotiate with vendors and suppliers for best pricing and delivery options
• Record and maintain parts and maintenance history in operating system
• Identify and order all parts and materials required for mechanics
• Communicate with customers on parts delivery times to best meet their needs
• Operate Forklift to load and unload parts
• Keep work area clean and presentable
• Answer and make phone calls that deal with parts orders
• Inform Parts Manager of any parts issues
