About The Position

Rob Sight Ford is seeking an experienced Parts Manager to lead its parts department and contribute to the dealership's growth. As a family-owned Ford dealership with a strong reputation in Kansas City, we are looking for an organized, accountable, and team-oriented individual to manage inventory, support the service department, and lead the department professionally. The ideal candidate will oversee daily operations, manage inventory, support various customer types, maintain accurate records, and drive department performance.

Requirements

  • Previous dealership parts experience required.
  • Strong inventory control and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lead a team and hold people accountable.
  • Good communication skills with employees, customers, and vendors.
  • Understanding of wholesale, retail, and internal parts operations.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced dealership environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Parts management or assistant parts management experience preferred.
  • Ford parts experience strongly preferred.
  • Dealertrack, Ford systems, or similar DMS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the parts department.
  • Manage parts inventory, including ordering, returns, and obsolescence.
  • Support technicians, service advisors, retail customers, and wholesale customers.
  • Maintain accurate records, invoices, and manufacturer documentation.
  • Oversee special orders and ensure timely customer follow-up.
  • Manage parts gross profit, expenses, and department performance.
  • Train, coach, and support parts department employees.
  • Build strong relationships with Ford, vendors, and internal departments.
  • Ensure the department operates efficiently, accurately, and with a high level of customer service.
  • Work closely with service management to improve repair cycle time and shop productivity.
  • Monitor fill rate, aged inventory, stock orders, emergency orders, and parts availability.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional parts department.
