About The Position

The Assembly Parts Kitter at Cleaveland/Price plays a pivotal role in the efficient operation of our Assembly department. This role is responsible for pulling the correct number of parts from various locations throughout the facility, creating “kits” to provide to the different departments in the Assembly department. They will aid in inventory control, quality, and production time adherence. The Assembly Parts Kitter will coordinate with the Assembly management team to pull parts for jobs in order of priority, while also adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain certification to operate a (Mobile Elevated Work Platform) MEWP is required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail is required.
  • Top-notch communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Candidates must be able to traverse the entire building to obtain parts.
  • Fine dexterity will be required to operate MEWPs.
  • This role will repeatedly ascend or descend a ladder along with retrieving things from shelves that are floor level or above their heads.
  • Lifting parts up to 35 pounds without assistance is necessary.
  • All team mates are required to wear PPE, as the department needs, for the entire shift.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior material handler experience or warehouse logistics experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes a MEWP (Mobile Elevating Work Platform) to safely pull parts from higher locations.
  • Ascends/descends rolling stairs and ladders to obtain parts.
  • Counts parts and marks them in and out of inventory.
  • Deciphers similar looking parts from one another.
  • Organizes parts pulled for Assembly.
  • Documents the pulling of parts.
  • Ensures work practices are compliant with all OSHA and ISO standards.
