Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1-3 Years of kitting, material handling, receiving experience, preferred
  • Individuals in this position are expected to have a thorough knowledge of plant layout, warehouse mapping, equipment applications, material requirements and good inventory control practices
  • Persons shall demonstrate competency when using computers (Oracle and Windows) and various printers
  • Individuals should exhibit strong communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for pulling/kitting product for production.
  • Communicating part issues and restock requests with department Lead.
  • Physically pulls product required on work orders.
  • Picks product from stock/issues components to WIP (Work in Progress).
  • Provides advance information to production coordinator regarding shortages, etc.
  • Utilizes KANBAN system (as appropriate) to identify outages
  • Strives to reduce kitting error and quality issues
  • Reports substitutions and BOM (Bill of Materials) corrections to production coordinator
  • Complies with all quality assurance procedures and policies to ensure best quality product output
  • Strives to improve departmental efficiencies and reduce cost through continuous improvement
  • Knows and adheres to Company policies and procedures
  • Fosters goodwill with all internal customers
  • Adheres to established inventory control systems and computer tracking
  • Strives to maintain high level 5s in Kitting area
  • Must demonstrate commitment to safety & continual improvement of OH&S (Occupational Health & Safety) performance, registered standards, company policy, integrity, ethics, and legal compliance
  • Works overtime as assigned
  • Complete all duties as assigned
