About The Position

Complete Coach Works, a D/T Carson Enterprises, Inc. company specializing in bus remanufacturing and refurbishment, accident repair, alternative fuel conversions, and new and used parts sales, is hiring a Parts-General Laborer. Under the direction of the Parts Supervisor, the role provides general assistance to the Parts team. The position is full-time, year-round, Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and pays $19 per hour based on experience and qualifications. The job is physically demanding and involves heavy lifting and manual labor. The employer conducts pre-employment physicals and drug screenings and performs random drug testing at regular intervals as required by Department of Transportation regulations.

Requirements

Possess strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of automotive parts.
Have knowledge of basic tools and equipment used in automotive repair.
Forklift experience is required.
Be able to work in a physically demanding position involving heavy lifting and manual labor.
Be able to work under minimal supervision in a team-oriented environment.
Be able to carry, pull, and push up to 50 pounds of dead weight.
Be able to climb up and down a ladder.
Be able to sit, stand, stoop, kneel, squat, crouch, and/or crawl.
Be able to twist or turn in confined spaces.
Complete a pre-employment physical and drug screening; the position is also subject to random drug testing.

Responsibilities

Remove bus parts from transmissions and engines.
Forklift heavy bus components and maneuver them around a warehouse in an organized fashion.
Assist in recognizing metals, materials, and recyclable parts.
Clean and store all tools and equipment at the end of the shift.
Clean and organize designated work areas daily.
Perform additional duties as required.
