About The Position

The Wholesale Parts Driver delivers and picks up parts and equipment for the dealership while keeping the delivery truck clean and in operable condition. The driver loads and organizes deliveries carefully, follows safe pickup and delivery practices, maintains delivery records, and supports the parts department. The role also works with the Parts Manager to identify potential clients and make sales calls as directed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to use a computer and calculator.
• Ability to communicate well orally and in writing with customers, vendors, and other contacts.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up parts as requested by the Parts Manager.
• Load the truck to prevent damage to sheet metal and other fragile parts.
• Organize delivery schedules to maximize efficiency and post the schedule so it is available for contact.
• Keep the truck clean and neat and regularly check that it is in good running condition.
• Immediately report malfunctions of the parts vehicle to the Parts Manager.
• Assist in keeping the parts department and parts area clean.
• Make pickups and deliveries safely and call the shipping department from each pickup and delivery stop.
• Pick up only parts that have a purchase order on the invoice.
• Update the delivery log after each delivery.
• Work with the Parts Manager to identify potential clients and complete sales calls as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
