About The Position

Reliable Equipment in Warminster is looking for a full-time Service Clerk for our Parts Department. The Service Clerk is responsible for identifying, ordering, sourcing, and receiving parts, assisting with inventory control, department profitability and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be reliable and dependable with a strong work ethic.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as telephone manner.
  • At least 3 years' experience in the Parts Dept.
  • Ability to work as a team player.
  • Attentive to detail and organized.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred but not required.
  • Sage X3 experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Take and process orders (via phone, email, fax) for spare parts and prepare for shipment.
  • Provide quotes, drawings and other reference materials for spare parts and new equipment projects (Equipment Orders).
  • Research parts information using Project Folders, Archived information, and blueprints; this can also require physical handling of parts and interacting with other departments such as Service, Engineering, Repairs, and the Test Lab.
  • Work with Purchasing and Production to ensure timely shipment of parts orders, expediting as necessary.
  • Process documentation required to initiate additional activity to fulfill customer requirements.
  • Engage with freight shipping companies (i.e., UPS, Federal Express) to track shipments, provide proof of delivery and assist with claims for damaged or mis-shipped parts orders.
  • Maintains proper inventory level.
  • Orders parts.
  • Pricing parts.
  • Works with direct supervisor to ensure department profitability.
  • Ensures recordkeeping is accurate and up to date.
  • Assists with merchandising and displays.
  • Maintains good working relationship with factory(s).
  • Assists supervisor with annual physical inventory.
  • Maintains effective employee relations.
  • Maintains an organized, clean, and safe work area.
  • Participates in required training.
  • Follows Safeguards rules and regulations.
  • Complies with Company policies and procedures.
  • Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
