Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
One year of experience in an automotive parts department.
One year of sales experience.
Ability to read, comprehend instructions, and communicate effectively with customers.
Strong customer service skills and professional demeanor.
Valid driver's license with ability to pass background check, motor vehicle record review, drug screening, and credit report verification.
Authorization to work in the USA and willingness to comply with all company safety policies.

Responsibilities

Assist walk-in customers and phone inquiries in selecting required parts, suggest companion requirements, offer specials, and ensure exposure to the full product line.
Pull purchases from stock, determine availability, and submit emergency orders as requested by customers.
Process orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up and manage "will call" and "back order" files weekly.
Assist service technicians in selecting parts needed for repairs and coordinate with Shop Foreman regarding parts orders and receipt notifications.
Process sales transactions, verify documentation, issue credits for returns, and ensure proper customer information is recorded for tax-exempt and charge account sales.
Maintain counter areas in clean, organized condition; replenish assigned inventory daily and keep current on new products and updates.
Operate company and customer vehicles for delivery purposes; must be legally and technically able to drive and insurable by company insurance carrier.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures; immediately report any accidents to a manager or supervisor and provide professional, efficient service to all customers and dealership departments.
