About The Position

Sam Leman Automotive Group is seeking a dependable and motivated Automotive Parts Counterperson / Driver to join their Parts Department team in Champaign. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a busy, fast-paced automotive environment, working with customers and colleagues. While automotive parts experience is a plus, the company is willing to train the right candidate. Sam Leman Automotive Group is a large, family-owned automotive group in Central Illinois, operating 13 dealerships and employing nearly 700 team members.

Requirements

• Dependable and punctual
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Organized with good attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic computer skills
• Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record
• Ability to safely lift and move automotive parts

Nice To Haves

• Previous automotive or parts experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist customers and dealership employees with parts requests
• Look up, locate, and provide the correct automotive parts
• Receive, organize, and stock incoming parts
• Maintain accurate parts inventory and records
• Prepare parts for pickup and delivery
• Deliver and pick up automotive parts from customers, vendors, and other dealership locations
• Load and unload parts as needed
• Provide professional and friendly customer service
• Keep the parts department and delivery areas clean and organized
• Assist the Parts Department with additional duties as needed
