Diehl of Wooster is seeking a motivated, organized, and customer-focused Automotive Parts Counterperson / Parts Advisor to join our growing parts department in Wooster, Ohio! Requirements
- Detail-oriented automotive professional with strong organizational skills and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Previous automotive dealership parts experience preferred.
- Experience as a Parts Counterperson, Parts Advisor, Parts Specialist, or Automotive Parts Associate.
- Knowledge of automotive parts, accessories, and vehicle components.
- Experience using electronic parts catalogs and dealership management systems.
- Familiarity with OEM parts ordering and inventory procedures.
- Strong computer and data-entry skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a busy dealership environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Dependable attendance and a positive attitude.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- Experience with Toyota, Volkswagen, or other automotive manufacturer parts systems is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist automotive service technicians, retail customers, and wholesale customers with parts inquiries and purchases.
- Look up, identify, and order OEM automotive parts and accessories.
- Utilize electronic parts catalogs and dealership parts management systems.
- Accurately process parts orders, invoices, returns, and special orders.
- Maintain accurate parts inventory and assist with inventory counts.
- Receive, inspect, and stock incoming parts shipments.
- Locate and source parts from manufacturers and outside vendors.
- Communicate parts availability, pricing, and delivery timelines.
- Coordinate with service advisors and technicians to ensure timely completion of vehicle repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of parts transactions and inventory movements.
- Assist with warranty parts returns and core processing.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient parts department.
- Build positive relationships with customers, technicians, and fellow employees.
- Follow dealership policies and procedures while providing excellent customer service.
