Parts Counter Support
About The Position
KF Aerospace is seeking a Parts Counter Support professional to join their team. This role assists internal customers with requests for parts, materials, or tools. The position requires strong customer service skills, the ability to work under pressure, and maintain positive customer interactions. The Parts Counter Support role encompasses three areas: Counter Support, Materials Support, and Production Support. Employees begin in Counter Support and can be cross-trained in the other roles. Counter Support is a team-oriented role within teams of 8-10 people, requiring moderate computer skills and a willingness to learn company systems. Materials Support involves sourcing and ordering aircraft materials for Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AMEs), acting as a liaison between Purchasing and AMEs, and organizing received materials. This role requires daily reporting using Microsoft Excel. Production Support is largely administrative, involving the creation and maintenance of project records, controlling legal documentation, data entry according to Transport Canada regulations, and generating daily customer reports.
Requirements
- Completion of High School
- Prior customer service experience
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain positive customer service
- Ability to work and communicate well with a team
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of MS Office, Point of Sale (POS) systems or DOS programs
Responsibilities
- Assist internal customers with requests for parts, materials, or tools.
- Source and order aircraft materials requested by Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AMEs).
- Act as a liaison between the Purchasing Department and AMEs to gather information on parts status and forecast project progression.
- Create daily reports using Microsoft Excel.
- Organize received materials for current or upcoming projects.
- Create and maintain project records.
- Control legal documentation for aircraft.
- Enter data in accordance with Transport Canada regulations.
- Generate daily customer reports for on-site customer representatives.
- Cover in other roles as required.
