About The Position

Group 1 Volkswagen of Panama City is seeking an experienced, customer-focused Parts Counter Salesperson to assist customers and technicians with automotive parts sales, inventory, and service. The role involves identifying parts and accessories based on vehicle information and customer needs, processing sales and special orders, maintaining accurate inventory and pricing records, and coordinating with technicians and service staff to ensure parts are available. The Parts Counter Salesperson also maintains an organized department and provides courteous, professional service while representing the company’s core values.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid state driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
• Professional appearance and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work effectively in a process-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Identify automotive parts and accessories using vehicle information, assess customer needs, and recommend appropriate products.
• Process parts sales, including pricing, invoices, returns, and special orders, while maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Work with technicians and service staff to ensure parts are available on time, manage stock levels, and provide excellent internal and external customer service.
• Greet and assist customers courteously and professionally, providing the information they need.
• Verify that incoming inventory is stocked in its designated location.
• Keep the parts department clean, organized, and efficient.
• Price parts and accessories using approved pricing sources and keep the computer system up to date.
• Communicate current promotions and specials to customers.
• Demonstrate the company’s core values in interactions with customers, colleagues, and vendors.
