Parts Counter Salesperson
About The Position
The Parts Counter Salesperson assists retail customers, technicians, and wholesale accounts with automotive parts needs in person and by phone. The role involves identifying parts through electronic catalogs and parts systems, quoting prices, processing sales, handling special orders, maintaining accurate inventory, organizing the counter area, and building relationships with repeat customers and the service department. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with every third Saturday on a rotating basis. Pay is a weekly salary plus commission based on experience. Interviews are in person.
Requirements
- Solid knowledge of vehicle systems and components.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Basic computer skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license.
Nice To Haves
- Automotive parts experience is preferred; training may be provided to the right person.
