About The Position
Be the knowledgeable, dependable link between service, technicians, and customers. As a Parts Counterperson, you’ll support daily service and sales operations by accurately identifying, ordering, and distributing automotive parts while ensuring excellent internal and external customer service. Jim Click Ford is looking for a reliable, professional individual who thrives in a structured environment and takes pride in accuracy, teamwork, and supporting a busy service department.
Requirements
- Previous automotive parts or dealership experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of automotive components and systems
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Professional communication and customer service skills
- Basic computer skills and comfort using dealership software
- Ability to multitask in a busy, fast paced environment
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented attitude
- Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Able to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen
Responsibilities
- Assist service technicians and customers with identifying and supplying parts
- Process retail, internal, and wholesale parts transactions accurately
- Use electronic parts catalogs and dealership systems to locate correct parts
- Order parts, manage special orders, and track backorders
- Prepare and document invoices, repair orders, and parts transactions
- Communicate with service advisors and customers regarding parts availability
- Maintain inventory accuracy through stocking, binning, and organization
- Keep the parts counter and work areas clean and organized
- Follow dealership, manufacturer, and parts department procedures
