About The Position

The Parts Counter Sales Representative promotes and sells products and services to meet customer needs, supplies parts to Service Technicians, and supports daily parts department operations. The role assists with merchandise displays, receiving shipments, placing Machine Down and Stock Orders in their proper inventory locations, keeping the department clean and orderly, and following up on shortages and expedited issues by reporting them to the manager. The representative also assists co-workers with phone calls and on-call hours, participates in annual physical inventory for all parts departments in the SPI organization, and transports parts, small equipment, supplies, and paperwork between SPI locations. The position supports a culture of safety and demonstrates good character, leadership, and teamwork.

Requirements

Basic data entry/keyboarding skills.
Basic parts and machinery knowledge.
Ability to communicate clearly and politely with customers by phone.
Ability to use the John Deere Parts Catalog computer application.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to work extended hours and weekends.
Ability to lift items weighing up to 75 lbs.

Nice To Haves

Forklift license preferred.

Verify receipt of shipments and assist with placing Machine Down and Stock Orders in their proper inventory locations.
Help keep the parts department clean and orderly.

Assist co-workers with answering phone calls and on-call hours.
Assist with annual physical inventory for all parts departments in the SPI organization.
Transport parts, small equipment, supplies, and paperwork between SPI locations.
Facilitate and promote a culture of safety.
