About The Position

The Parts Counter Sales Representative promotes and sells products and services to meet customer needs and supplies Service Technicians with parts. The role assists with merchandise displays, shipment receiving, inventory placement, department organization, and follow-up on shortages and expedited issues. It also supports coworkers with phone calls and on-call hours, assists with annual physical inventory across SPI parts departments, and transports parts, small equipment, supplies, and paperwork between SPI locations. The representative helps foster a culture of safety and demonstrates good character, leadership, and teamwork.

Requirements

Basic data entry and keyboarding skills.
Basic parts and machinery knowledge.
Ability to communicate clearly and politely with customers by phone.
Ability to use the John Deere Parts Catalog computer application.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to work extended hours and weekends.
Ability to lift items weighing up to 75 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Forklift license preferred.

Responsibilities

Promote and sell products and/or services to meet customer needs.
Supply Service Technicians with parts as required.
Assist with preparing and maintaining merchandise displays.
Verify the receipting-in of shipments and assist with placing Machine Down and Stock Orders in their proper inventory locations.
Help keep the parts department clean and orderly.
Follow up on shortages and expedite issues by reporting them to the manager.
Assist coworkers with answering phone calls and on-call hours.
Assist with annual physical inventory for all parts departments in the SPI organization.
Transport parts, small equipment, supplies, and paperwork between SPI locations.
Facilitate and promote a culture of safety.
Demonstrate good character, leadership, and teamwork.
