About The Position

The Parts Counter Sales Representative promotes and sells products and services to meet customer needs, supplies Service Technicians with required parts, and supports the day-to-day operation of the parts department. The role assists with merchandise displays, receiving shipments, putting Machine Down and Stock Orders in their proper inventory locations, maintaining a clean and orderly department, and following up on shortages and expediting issues by reporting them to the manager. The representative also helps answer phone calls and cover on-call hours, supports annual physical inventory for all parts departments in the SPI organization, and transports parts, small equipment, supplies, and paperwork between SPI locations. The position is expected to promote safety, demonstrate good character and leadership, and support teamwork. The role is on-site in Snyder, Texas.

Requirements

Basic data entry and keyboarding skills.
Basic parts and machinery knowledge.
Ability to communicate clearly and politely with customers by phone.
Ability to use the John Deere Parts Catalog computer application.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to work extended hours and weekends.
Ability to lift items weighing up to 75 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Forklift license preferred.
