About The Position

The Midway Motors Auto Group is looking for a Parts Counter Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for assisting customers and technicians with parts needs, maintaining inventory accuracy, and delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment while building strong relationships with customers and coworkers.

Requirements

  • Previous automotive parts experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer and data entry skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work as part of a team while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist retail, wholesale, and internal customers in identifying and purchasing the correct parts and accessories.
  • Provide outstanding customer service in person, over the phone, and through electronic communication.
  • Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally while identifying sales opportunities.
  • Support dealership technicians by supplying parts needed for repairs and maintenance.
  • Process parts orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Receive, stock, label, and organize incoming inventory.
  • Monitor inventory levels and notify management of low-stock or out-of-stock items.
  • Source hard-to-find parts and coordinate special orders when necessary.
  • Track and follow up on outstanding customer and shop orders.
  • Return unused, obsolete, or warranty parts according to manufacturer and dealership guidelines.
  • Assist with inventory counts, annual parts returns, and department audits.
  • Process invoices, payments, credits, and returns accurately.
  • Maintain organized records of invoices, orders, and related documentation.
  • Communicate with service advisors, technicians, and customers regarding order status and availability.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional parts department.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
