About The Position

The Parts Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the inventory and distribution of parts within the organization, ensuring that all necessary components are available for maintenance and repair operations. This role requires a keen attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with various departments. The Parts Coordinator plays a pivotal role in maintaining the efficiency and productivity of the company's operations by managing the supply chain and ensuring that parts are accurately documented and readily accessible.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in parts inventory management or similar role
  • Experience with inventory management software and ERP systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • Knowledge of automotive or manufacturing industry is a plus
  • Certifications such as APICS CPIM or CSCP are advantageous

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the inventory and distribution of parts within the organization
  • Ensure all necessary components are available for maintenance and repair operations
  • Maintain accurate documentation of parts and inventory levels
  • Quote parts per customer request
  • Assist service department by retrieving parts and equipment quotes from vendors as needed
  • Communicate effectively with various departments to fulfill parts requirements
  • Manage the supply chain to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in inventory records
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for part orders and deliveries
  • Monitor and forecast parts usage to maintain optimal stock levels
  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures
  • Assist in the training of staff on parts management processes
  • Other duties as assigned
