About The Position

The Parts Clerk supports retail and service department operations by managing inventory, assisting customers with parts selection, and accurately processing transactions. The role is customer-facing and fast-paced, requiring strong communication, organization, and attention to detail.

The position also supports parts logistics and departmental operations, including fulfilling orders, coordinating deliveries, maintaining organized parts areas, and upholding company service, professionalism, and safety standards. Driving duties vary by role and location; only employees assigned driving responsibilities need a valid driver’s license.

Requirements

• Strong computer skills and ability to learn inventory management software.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Comfortable standing for long periods during shifts.
• Able to work weekends as required.
• A valid driver’s license is required only for employees assigned driving responsibilities.

• Some cash handling experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in person and by phone with professionalism and product knowledge.
• Provide accurate price quotes and recommend parts based on customer and technician needs.
• Accurately process retail and internal transactions using inventory management systems.
• Handle special orders and notify customers and technicians when parts arrive.
• Support store and service department needs with timely parts delivery and clear communication.
• Pull and fulfill inventory orders for retail and service departments.
• Monitor, restock, and organize inventory; report low-stock or out-of-stock items.
• Follow up on back-ordered parts to support timely delivery.
• Assist with inventory cycle counts and physical organization of the parts department.
• Transport parts and equipment between departments, satellite stores, and external vendors when assigned.
• Coordinate pickups and drop-offs as directed by the Parts Manager or Parts Counter staff.
• Maintain clean, organized, and professional parts areas and delivery zones.
• Assist with departmental tasks, physical organization, and store cleanliness.
• Uphold company standards for service, professionalism, and safety.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
