About The Position

Kia of Orange Park is seeking a Parts Advisor to provide service to technicians and retail and wholesale customers. The role involves pricing and documenting parts and sublet work, maintaining inventory and order records, supporting warranty claims, and keeping the work area organized and safe. Proficiency in using parts catalogs and identifying the locations of correct parts.

Responsibilities

Provide fast and courteous service to technicians, retail customers, and wholesale customers.
List and price parts on repair orders and counter tickets.
Write purchase orders for parts and sublet work from outside suppliers as needed, and obtain management approval.
List and price sublet repair work on repair orders.
Input inventory losses and sales into the inventory control system.
Maintain records of special-order parts and notify the person who authorized each order when it arrives.
Maintain a customer backorder file.
Keep the special-order parts inventory clean and orderly.
Ensure technicians turn in defective parts needed for warranty scrap and tag them appropriately.
Help scrap parts held for factory claims with the factory representative.
Keep the warranty return parts inventory clean and organized.
Participate in conducting a perpetual inventory.
Help maintain parts catalogs, price schedules, and other technical information and bulletins.
Keep the work area clean, free of debris, safe, and clear of loose stock.
Use parts catalogs proficiently and know the locations of correct parts.
