About The Position

Kia of Orange Park is seeking a Parts Advisor to serve technicians, retail customers, and wholesale customers. The role involves pricing and documenting parts and sublet work, managing inventory and special orders, supporting warranty claims, and maintaining parts records and catalogs. The position also requires keeping the work area clean, orderly, and safe. Knowledge of the locations of the correct parts.

Responsibilities

Provide fast and courteous service to technicians, retail customers, and wholesale customers.
List and price parts on repair orders and counter tickets.
Write purchase orders for parts and sublet work from outside suppliers as needed, and obtain management approval.
List and price sublet repair work on repair orders.
Input inventory losses and sales into the inventory control system.
Maintain records of special-order parts and notify the person who authorized an order when the parts arrive.
Maintain a customer backorder file.
Keep the special-order parts inventory clean and orderly.
Ensure technicians turn in defective parts needed for warranty scrap and tag them appropriately.
Help scrap parts held for factory claims with the factory representative.
Maintain the warranty return parts inventory in a clean and organized manner.
Participate in conducting a perpetual inventory.
Help maintain parts catalogs, price schedules, and technical information and bulletins.
Keep the work area clean, free of debris, and safe, and put away loose stock.
Use parts catalogs proficiently and know the locations of the correct parts.
