About The Position

Pliant is a European fintech company specializing in B2B payment solutions. Their platform helps businesses streamline spending, improve cash flow, and integrate payments into financial workflows. They serve companies looking to optimize operational processes and businesses like financial software platforms, ERP providers, and banks that want to launch or enhance their credit card offerings using Pliant’s embedded finance and white-label solutions. Founded in 2020 and headquartered in Berlin, Pliant supports over 4,000 businesses and more than 20 partners globally. As a licensed e-money institution (EMI), they issue credit cards in 11 currencies across more than 30 countries. This role is for an ambitious, high-performing Partnerships Manager to help build and scale Pliant's US partnership distribution channel. It's designed for a fast learner with a background in investment banking, management consulting, or a corporate leadership rotational program who wants to transition into high-growth fintech partnerships and commercial strategy. The manager will work with the Partnerships team and cross-functional colleagues to turn target partner profiles into active, revenue-generating embedded finance alliances. Responsibilities include building an industry network, learning the platform, evaluating commercial structures, and managing deals from outreach to execution. The role reports to the North America Partnerships Director and collaborates with Product, Compliance, Marketing, and Legal to drive partner-led growth. The position is open in NYC for hybrid office work or remotely in the U.S.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of professional experience at an investment bank, management consulting firm, or corporate leadership development program.
  • Sharp analytical abilities, fast learning curve, and a strong drive to excel in a new function.
  • Strong financial acumen, excellent verbal and written presentation skills (English required), and comfort engaging internal and external stakeholders.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity, solve problems cross-functionally, and execute rapidly while maintaining an attention to detail.
  • Interest in payments, embedded finance and B2B software.

Responsibilities

  • Target, pitch, and secure partnerships across vertical SaaS platforms, marketplaces, and fintech service providers in the U.S. market.
  • Maintain pipeline discipline and manage Sales forecasts.
  • Collaborate with Product, Legal, and Compliance to streamline deal structures and ensure seamless partner activation.
  • Co-create messaging, enablement materials, and campaigns with Marketing and Growth that drive partnership acquisition and partner success.
  • Work alongside internal teams to guide signed partners through technical integration, co-marketing launches, and ongoing relationship maintenance.
